SDG Progress Assessment Report 2016-2019

The report reveals macroeconomic stability during the period with about 6.8 percentannual economic growth, reduced income poverty to 16.7 percent. This achievement is following the periodic plans that are focusingon promoting growth, employment, infrastructure,human development and resiliency.The 15th Plan (2019/20-2023/24) has beenfully aligned with the SDGs and provides aclear roadmap towards prosperity over thenext 25 years. The roadmap includes graduatingfrom the least developed country statusby 2022 and achieving SDGs by 2030 leadingto realization of Nepal’s long-term vision of a ‘Prosperous Nepal, Happy Nepali’.
