About the event
We request for your participation in the official observance of the Holocaust Day on 27 Jan at from 2 pm to 3 pm in the UN House. In this connection, UN is organizing a joint programme with the Embassies of Germany, the Embassy of Israel, the Delegation of the European Union to Nepal and Higher Institutions and Secondary Schools' Association Nepal (HISSAN) which will start with the observance of International Holocaust Remembrance Day. The agenda of tomorrows session is as below:
| Welcome remarks: | Ms. Sara Beysolow Nyanti , UN Resident Coordinator ( 5-7 min) |
| Lighting 6 candles: | By all ambassadors & UN RC in memory of the six million Jewish victims of the Holocaust followed by observing one-minute silence |
| Memorial prayer and Remarks: | H.E Hanan Goder-Goldberger , Ambassador of the State of Israel to Nepal (5-7 min) |
| Remarks: | H.E Nona Deprez, Ambassador of The Delegation of the European Union to Nepal ( 5-7 min) |
| Remarks: | Representative from Higher Institutions and Secondary Schools' Association Nepal (HISSAN) (5-7 min) |
| Closing Remarks: | H.E Roland Schäfer Ambassador of The Federal Republic of Germany to Nepal ( 5-7 min) |
